Hi All,

BIG thanks to Jim Cook & Lee Hennen for their fantastic job racking up the $bucks$ at our annual fall auction.  Pat yourselves on the back for bringing in such great items and for all the bidding!  Thanks to you, we brought in over $1,000!  I do have to apologize to Libby Bergen for my telling her not to bid on the Jamison Irish whiskey.  I needed it to replace the bottle I finally finished (which I got at our auction two years ago)  I'm also hoping Tammy Laurent will leave a crumb or two of the beautiful cookies Linda Plum donated; they looked almost too pretty to eat. Everything was so great even our visitors bid and won a few items too. It was so cool to have our new members join in the fun.   I'd say it was an all-around success.  Thanks everyone!Image

Next Tuesday Chris steps into my shoes to lead the meeting, welcoming Laura Pecaut from the Shakopee Main Street program.  There are a lot of great things happening to our downtown, and Laura will give us the inside scoop.  Bill Nevin steps up a fine master next week; I'll be sorry to miss that.  Loosen up your vocal cords - Mark McNeill returns as song master, and the greeter table is staffed by the smiling faces of Kathy Busch, Dustin Campion and Jim Cook.

REMINDER: Please mark your calendars to attend our Membership Open House, Thursday November 13 at Stonebrooke Golf Course

Given that we're coming into the holiday season, the board reviewed the calendar and has set the following schedule:  Note: More detailed information will be coming regarding events.

December 3 - NO NOON MEETING - we're hosting an evening get-together with other Scott County clubs at Arizona's.  Please bring Imagea child's toy for the CAP Agency.
December 9 - regular meeting
December 16 - NO NOON MEETING
December 18 - The McNeill's have graciously offered to host a Rotary Holiday party at their house.  There will be a brief business meeting this evening.

January 6 - regular meeting

The new year also brings a new regular monthly program: First Thursday Rotary Happy Hour (RHH).  These are informal social gatherings at the local pubs/restaurants that sell our pull-tabs. The first RHH is January 8 at Arnie's.

Light Up Rotary!
