President's Weekly Message

Dear Shakopee Rotary Club Members and Friends,

 

Happy Beautiful Friday,

 

After the wonderful presentation by Willie Rahr, CEO of Rahr and the tour of the facilities, I was thirsty for a cold brew. Haven't had one yet, but since it is Friday, maybe...Thanks Barb for setting up the meeting at their "own pub". I am sure everyone that attended had an educational enlightenment about malt and its role in brewing beer. 

 

Thanks to the volunteers at Loaves and Fishes this week. I feel guilty, as I signed up, but was unable to volunteer (you can ask my 15 son why I could not attend).

 

Next Tuesday, October 6, Art Quinn will again be our presenter. It is a record? Twice in a month. This time he will discuss the Rotary Foundation and all the work that the Foundation does around the world. Besides our Club's donations, we have many Paul Harris Fellows. Our donations to the Rotary Foundation are our way to "BE A GIFT TO THE WORLD", the theme for this Rotary year. I had the opportunity just 2 weeks ago to become a member of the Paul Harris Society. I am quite proud to have joined. We will bring information on joining at a future meeting.

 

For the Tuesday meeting:

 

Our Song Master will be John Bezek

Our Fine Master will be Jon McBroom

The Greeter's Table will be manned by the 3 C's - Canny, Cook and Campion
