President's weekly message
Hi All,
What FANTASTIC Fall weather we're having, this must be our reward for surviving last winter. I just spent a couple hours at the Main Street Shakopee Mural kick-off event in downtown and am excited about this project. Given the great day, it was nice to see such a good turnout.
What a great presentation last Tuesday by NFL line judge Jeff Seeman. I am not one to follow sports at all, but I truly learned a lot about what it takes to be a judge, how involved the rules are, and the journey it takes to become a judge in the NFL. Thanks Bill Wermerskirchen for inviting Jeff to present. Thanks also to Lee Hennen for his witty fine master skills. I don't know how he managed to keep those cool books under wraps for so long. I'm really digging my "World Class Legs" book. ;-)
This coming Tuesday Barb Brekke will introduce Kerry Singh, presenting on "Releasing Your Creativity". This will be a very interesting talk and I invite you to bring along a guest. Fine master Joan Lynch will try to finesse a few dollars from our pockets; Mark McNeill returns as song master and encourage us to open our diaphragm to belt out a rousing tune; and the greeters table will be staffed by the lovely Kathy Busch, Dustin Campion and Jim Cook.
Remember:
- Bring something for the Fall Auction (November 4) proceeds benefit our club activities
- Invite colleagues, business fellows... to our Membership event November 13 at Stonebrook
Light UP Rotary!
Cheers, Kathy Klehr
