President's Weekly Message

Happy Monday Afternoon,

 

Sunny, warm day for February. I think we are all OK with an early Spring. But, thinking that way typically means cold snowy weather is in our future...Once again, thanks this week goes to President Elect Barb Danielson for finishing the meeting in my absence. If all goes right, I will be able to stay for the entire meeting tomorrow. All kidding aside...I do consider my recent inability to attend entire meetings to be a concern with my membership. I apologize.

 

It was with great pleasure and privilege to induct our newest member Marilyn Tech to our Club last week. Please let her know how important her membership is to our Rotary Community. Our presenter last week, Vickie Martin, did a great job of informing our Club about the local Toastmaster's Group. Thanks to Barb Brekke for setting that up.

 

Tomorrow's meeting will have a past member of our Rotary Club speaking to us. Angie Whitcomb was a long standing member of the Shakopee Rotary Club and is the Executive Director of the Shakopee Chamber of Commerce/Visitor's Bureau. She will talk about current initiatives and news from the Shakopee business community. It should be very interesting with all the growth we are noticing in town.  Please plan on attending and welcoming our friend and former Club member.

 

 

Remember that tomorrow is Valentine's Day, remember that our motto is "Service above Self" and remember that everyone of our Club members makes a difference. Stand tall and always be proud to be a Rotarian. See you tomorrow.
