Wow, I can't believe that July and my first month as president is almost over.  Last week we had an agenda packed meeting.
  • We welcomed Bill Reynolds our new city administrator as a new member to the club.
  • Mallory Glenn attended our meeting as our outbound student.  She shared about preparing to go to Brazil this fall and all the things she is looking forward to.
  • Our exchange student from 1984-1985, Paula Gallardo, made a surprise visit to the meeting.  She was an exchange student from Chile and was a guest of Tony Spagnolo
We also were graced by the vocal talents of Lee Hennen and Sarah Rowe made her debut as finemaster and did a wonderful job.  Finally our presenter was Ibrahim Mohamed, who spoke about the Shakopee Diversity alliance (SDA).  The SDA is doing amazing things in the community and you will not want to miss the International festival taking place on Friday July 31st at Huber park.  You can find out more information on their website:  http://shakopeediversityalliance.org/.

This week our special guest will be Lisa Motschke from the Scott County Library.  Linda is the Digital Experience Manager for the Scott County Library system and she will talk to us about an exciting new resource called Lynda.com.

For the meeting this week:
  • Song Master will be Gary Martini
  • Finemaster is Barb Danielson
  • Our Greeter's table will be hosted by Bezek, Wermerskirchen and Brekke
Looking forward to seeing all of you on Tuesday!
