President's Weekly Message

Dear Shakopee Rotary Club Members and Friends,

 

Happy Chilly Sunny Friday,

 

It was great to see everyone at Tuesday's meeting. But, I am afraid I will be missing our next meeting, as I will be attending a Economic Development Conference in Austin, TX .In my absence Sheila McNeill has kindly offered to step in and lead our meeting. Thanks Sheila.

 

It was amazing to listen to how Bayer Crop Science has an effect on crop seed propagation and manufactures the equipment right here in Shakopee. Along with Beta Seed, the impact this little Minnesota town has on agriculture world wide it mind-blowing. It is great to learn about the companies that we have in our community.

 

Our next meeting Tuesday, we feature the Shakopee Community Assistance (SCA) Organization. The presenters will be Keith Chellsen and Amy Tasto. SCA provides many opportunities to help families in our community. Shakopee Public Utilities works with their office in assisting folks having difficulties paying their utility bills, so I have worked directly with the organization and the services they provide.

The Greeter's Table willed be efficiently coordinated by Dr. Dave Eckart and the lovely Barb Danielson

 

Have a great meeting, as I will be stuck all next week in conference rooms from morning til night. Our Club is strong, focused and committed to Rotary's mission. Service above Self. Thanks for all you do!
