Dear Shakopee Club Members, Families and Friends,

Happy Friday,

The sun is shining, the weather for the weekend will cooperate with putting up Christmas light's and my stomach isn't as big as last week. Life id good! First, let me again apologize for the complications that caused the CAP Agency/Rotary Annual Toy Drive being canceled. It was also a big mistake to wait so long to cancel. I have heard from several members who showed up for the luncheon meeting that was canceled also. Well, I have certainly learned to not have it happen again. I wonder if it is too early to secure a location for the event next December...seriously, I am considering the possibility. once again I apologize for the inconveniences.

TOY DRIVE at our next meeting

Next Tuesday's meeting (and yes there will be the noon meeting at Dangerfield's) will be our final luncheon meeting of the year. We have planned to have toy donations made at this meeting. Please consider bringing a new toy to the meeting to donate to the CAP Agency. These toys will bring joy and happiness to a child less fortunate. Just think of how big their eyes will be as they receive a new toy for the Holidays. Please be generous and consider bringing  two toys. Joe Vaughan will collect the toys and make sure they brighten a child's Holiday season. Thanks!!

Also at the next meeting, Bob Tift, Executive Director of Crescent Cove will make a presentation to our Club. Crescent Cove offers care and support to children and young adults who have a shortened life expectancy. Thanks Barb for setting this up.

We are also going to induct Rose Hullet as our newest fellow Rotarian. Congratulations Rose!

For the Meeting;
Our Song Master will be Dave Esposito, our Club's Song Master Coordinator
Our Fine Master will be me, John Crooks, our Club's Fine Master Coordinator
At our Greeter's Table will be Greg Hoehn, Joe and Lorri Helkamp

Our Club did great work and has lots to be proud of this week. Meals were prepared and served for almost 100 people at Loaves and Fishes on Thursday evening. Our STRIVE Committee visited 2 campuses and provided lunch at Buca di Bepo on Wednesday for the participating High School Seniors. Our Club does make a difference in this Community. Thanks to everyone in our Club that helps, volunteers and has service to others come before themselves.

Put it on your calendars. Our Rotary Holiday Party is at the McNeills, Thursday December 17 and will be our last meeting until January. Sheila, thanks for providing your beautiful home for the event. I hope everyone can attend.

I hope everyone has great weekends and I also hope that my Christmas lights are not as tangled as they were last year...

Regards,
John
