Good Morning Everyone,
The sun is shining today and tomorrow will be in the 50's. It is still February isn't it?
Monday night is our Visioning Workshop. This is a great opportunity for our Club to come together and focus on the next few years in becoming a stronger, more empowered and mission driven Club. I expect some pretty amazing things to come from this effort. Please thank the people who have volunteered their time to be a part of the Visioning Process. Our participating members are:
Rose Hullett
Sarah Howe
Gary Martini
Tim Whitcomb
Libby Bergen
Tony Spagnolo
Chuck Berg
John Crooks
Barb Danielson
Joe Vaughan
Doug Schleif
Deb Erickson
We will be establishing a Visioning Committee to implement both our Goals and Objectives. Please consider being a part of our future planning efforts.
Has anyone gone Curling since our last meeting? I sure learned a ton of information about the sport, the Chaska Curling Center and ice making. There were so many questions asked. Our attendees were really engaged. Thanks Barb for setting it up...
Our next meeting March 1, will have a "State of the City" address by Shakopee's new Mayor, Bill Mars. Many of you know Mayor Mars as being a past Mayor and from his involvement in so many capacities; Planning Commission, Huber Park, Shakopee Public Utilities, are among many of the hats he has worn over the years. Please plan on attending, showing your support and learning about Mayor Mars thoughts on Shakopee's future.
Next Meeting:
Song Master - Joe Vaughan
Fine Master - John Bezek
Greeter's Table - Linda Plum, Bill Reynolds and Doug Scheif
Well, I am off to visit my 84 year old Mother and her best friend in Illinois this weekend. Remember the stories about those 2 ladies from this Fall? I will do my best to keep them out of trouble :-)
Enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend and I look forward to sharing an update on our Visioning Meeting at our next Rotary lunch. Please make the effort and plan on attending.
Regards,
John
