Good Monday Morning to Everyone,

Here's a big shout out to everyone that started a diet today from all the food that was eaten over Thanksgiving. I include myself with that group. Besides the feasts, the Holiday was all about family, friends and the many reasons we have to be thankful for all that we have been blessed with. I know everyone of you reflected on your families and smiled with all that we have. This is a great time to remember that service above self is why we are Rotarians. We have lots of opportunities to be just that in the coming days and weeks.

Tomorrow morning is out last Breakfast meeting for awhile as we assess both breakfast and lunch meetings. Tomorrow is also Loaves and Fishes at St. Mark's. If you have signed up, please remember your shifts. Lorri is sending a reminder this afternoon. Next week in place of our regular Tuesday meeting, our Club is having a 5:00pm Social at Stonebrooke on Thursday December 8, as a fundraiser for the CAP Agency. We are calling it "Hope for the Holidays". Please plan on attending and bring a new toy (unwrapped) or gift cards for the older kids and young adults. I will be bringing more information to the meeting tomorrow morning. As a reminder, we are asking for a $15 donation, which includes a drink ticket and appetizers. Any profits from the event will also be sent to the CAP Agency.

A couple things about last weeks Club Assembly...Thanks for the great presentation on Membership...and it all goes to Deb Erickson. The New Member Social will be January 26th at Stonebrooke. Please help our Club meet our goal of adding 10 new members. Our Club has so much to offer.

The Club will also be following up on having every member be on at least one Committee by the first meeting in January. If you are not currently on a Committee please volunteer, before you are volun-told.

As all of you know, our Secretary position is OPEN. Please, please consider being an important part of our Club decision making for the future and begin the process of stepping into a leadership position. Our Club requires that members become part of our team so that we evolve into the best we all can be as Rotarians. I was tentative when I accepted the invitation to be Secretary and I do not regret for one minute the time spent advancing our Club. Think about it and "step up"

Tomorrow morning at 7:00am our speaker will be the Warden of the Shakopee Women's Correctional Facility, Tracl Beltz. Please plan on attending, have some breakfast, spend time with great people and listen to Tracy's fascinating story. Let's make her feel welcomed by our Club.

Tomorrow's Meeting:
Song Master - Lee Hennen
Fine Master - John Bezek
Greeter's Table -  Sheila McNeill, Rose Hullett and Jon McBroom

Let's enjoy the rest of our Monday and meet tomorrow for a great breakfast meeting at Dangerfield's.

Regards,
John
