President's Weekly Message

Good Friday Afternoon,

 

Its December already and tonight I head to the first of many Holiday gatherings. I am also starting to think there should be a bit of snow on the ground as many have their lights up and Christmas trees set in their home...no, I have not done any decorating yet...

 

At our last Breakfast meeting (for awhile) we had the pleasure of listening to Tracy Beltz, Warden for the Women's Correction Facility. Her passion for her position and the work that goes into such a facility is amazing. Lots of stories and lots of issues with the state of corrections in MN.

 

NO MEETING TUESDAY. The meeting is THURSDAY DECEMBER 8th at Stonebrooke, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. It is our "almost" annual toy and gift card drive for the Dakota, Scott and Carver County CAP Agency. The Club is asking for a $15/person , which includes a drink ticket and appetizers. Also plan on bringing  an unwrapped gift, toy or a gift card...gift cards from Cub, Target and Walmart are really appreciated. Joe Vaughan will talk a little about the Agency and all they do in Shakopee and surrounding communities. please plan on attending; so far we have about 40 attendees. PLEASE, let me or Barb Danielson know if you are attending so we may order the proper amount of food. See Ya' Thursday.
