We had the privilege of Javier Avalon’s, Manager of Collections and Archives for the Shakopee Mdewakaton Sioux Community (SMSC) to speak to us today. One of the subgroups of the Eastern Dakota people, who are part of the larger Sioux Nation (Dakota, Nakota, and Lakota).
