I hope everyone ejoyed a Happy Easter weekend.  Thank you to Mark McNeill for arranging the speaker last week.  Tom Gillaspy answered many questions regarding the 2010 census.  This week Amber Kahnke will introduce Dr. Daniel Gatlin and a presentation on colon cancer awareness.

Remember this Tuesday is our second club book collection.  The book sale site will be open for drop off at 11:30 prior to our lunch meeting.  The location is at the old Tobacco Warehouse in downtown Shakopee.  The address is 201 1st Avenue East.  Please do not bring your books to Dangerfield's.

 

Roadside Cleanup will take place on Wednesday, April 14th at 5:00.  We will need 8-10 volunteers to help clean up our Adopt a Highway location on Co. Rd 78.  This project usually takes about an hour and will most likely end with a social at Arnie's after. 

Strive meets this Wednesday during 2nd hour in the lecture hall.

Bridging will be April 24th.  We will need volunteers to help that morning from around 7:30 to noon.  Please see Lee Hennen for more details.

TWINS SOCIAL!!!!!!!!!!

A social event has already been planned to see the Minnesota Twins take on the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday June 15, 2010 at 7:10pm at the new Target field.
 
What's Happening:
 
We'll meet at Dangerfields from 5-6 pm for social hour in the bar area and bus will leave at 6:00 pm sharp and take us to the new Target field.
 
Game time is 7:10 pm vs. the Colorado Rockies.
 
Cost is $20.00 which includes the bus ride and the ticket to the game.
 
We will have a sign up this coming Tuesday March 16th at our meeting. We are doing an early sign up as we are committed to 25 tickets and have a cap of 50 tickets (can possibly be adjusted).  The first 50 who sign up and pay will be guaranteed to go as the game is expected to sell out.
