Happy August Shakopee Rotary Club!
I just realized that in less than 4 short weeks, my daughter (first born) will be starting kindergarten....now that's a reality check! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and finding time to relax. This week we have a great program lined up. Emma Ruthenbeck will be coming in to discuss the Rotary Outbound Exchange program with us. We have great news. Our club application for the CAP and NCS Grant has been approved. The funds will go towards the Outdoor Ecology Center at the Highschool that we are participating with. A huge thank you needs to go out to Chuck Berg for shepherding our application through the approval process.....Thank you Chuck!
A few dates to note in the near future:
August 17th: New Teachers Luncheon out at Canterbury Inn
August 24th: Club Assembly at Dangerfields
August 24th: Boat Cruise in the evening. (Details to be shared in our meeting)
September 21st: Valleyfair Day! (Barb Danielson is so excited!)
