Rotary Club of Shakopee Donation Guidelines
The Rotary Club of Shakopee is a community-focused service organization that provides contributions to local, state, and international projects and non-profit organizations. The organization must be recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt institution. We do not provide funds for:
- Fundraising for Individuals or families (Hardship Cases)
- Fundraising Campaigns and Events
- Capital Improvements (i.e. purchase of land, building construction/purchase, building improvements)
- Action Organizations (i.e. Lobbying Groups, Labor Unions)
- Candidates for Public Office
- Requests for Operating Expenses
- Educational Scholarship Programs (our Club has its own Scholarship Foundation)
- Staff Salaries and Program Development
Club donations focus on goals that align with Rotary International's motto of "Service Above Self".
The Board of Directors meets monthly to review donation requests. The amount available each year depends on monies available through the Club's fundraising campaigns.
If you believe that your request fits the criteria for consideration, please provide the following:
- Donation Request Form
- Determination Letter from IRS indicating 501(c)(3) status
