Shakopee Rotary Weekly
Thank you to Chuck Huss for intruducing our program last week. I thought the part where they ran around the south pole naked was very courageous . This week is our Celebrate Reading Event at the High School. We will have lunch at Dangerfield's during our regular scheduled time, and head up to the High School to help for those who are volunteering.
We're making great progress on the book sale, but we still need books. The store will be open from 6:30 to 9:00 each night this week to finish our sorting and prep for the sale. If you have some free time, please stop in to help. Refreshments will be provided.
Thank you to those who helped with the Bridging event on Saturday. We filled an entire semi trailer. The rain did not deter us from making this a great collection.
The Rotary 5050 district conference will take place on Friday May 14th and Saturday May 15th. There will be several events and speakers to see including Irwin Jacobs. I've attached the agenda and registration form on our downloads section of the home page. Our club will reimubrse a portion of the registration fee up to $50.
